Serbia's Serifovic wins Eurovision contest, Russians third
HELSINKI, May 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Marija Serifovic of Serbia said her victory in the Eurovision song contest was a significant event for her country. She thanked for the support. She believes the secret of her success is first of all in the song and singing. Serifovic as the winner will go on a special tour in the near future. She is expected to visit six European countries. Verka Serdyuchka (actor Andrei Danilko) of Ukraine was 33 points behind her. The third was the Russian group Serebro (Silver) with "the Song Number One". A record number of countries -- forty two -- participated in the contest. Twenty four competed in the finals. The next contest will take place in the winner's country -- in Serbia. Itar Tass
