RUR 83 mln to be disbursed for Moscow road building in 2008
MOSCOW, September 12 (Itar-Tass) - First deputy mayor of Moscow Yuri Roslyak said on Tuesday that 83 million roubles will be allocated from the city budget in 2008 for road construction in Moscow. According to him, this money, as well as federal funds will be spent on the reconstruction of the Leningrad Avenue and construction of the Zvenigorod Avenue - its first section will be put into operation by the end of the current year.
Roslyak stressed that the main efforts in coping with the city?s transport problem will be concentrated on the construction of new roads. ?New 400 kilometres of the street road network are not redundant for Moscow,? the official said on the TVC television programme.
The first deputy mayor also said that next year the construction of the fourth ring road will be started ? ?the preparation of the territory for this highway is going on this year.?
