Metro News - Different means of payment
Different means of payment – Customers of the Bank of Moscow will be able to pay for their metro passes with their credit card. To do this, they will have to exchange their old credit card for a new one that has a metro logo stamped onto it. The price of one ride will not exceed 19 rubles, and there are bonuses for frequent users. This option is available from June 1. At the moment six other banks are considering this option.
Vestibule closure – The vestibule of Kurskaya station (The Brown Line) is going to close down for escalator replacement and full restoration from July 3 until June 2009. The escalators at Kurskaya station were installed in the end of 1940s, so they’re in urgent need of replacement. Besides that the interior of the vestibule will be renewed, although the overall look will stay the same.
